Cassettes – where do we start. Drivetrain technology has come on leaps and bounds over the last decade providing so many more possibilities with ratios in every discipline of the sport.
It’s not just the easy climbing gears that these new cassettes provide it also the ability to run a 10t at the bottom or evan a 9t on Campagnolo. This allows a better top out gear on the cassettes which helps on MTB’s when running a single ring at the front and increasing spring speeds on Road bike drivetrains. All this due to the innovation of the top companies creating specific freehub bodies for their own desired cassette to fit on and maximise the riders abilities.
