The Frog 53 has been our go-to 20″ kids’ hire bike for many years. We chose this bike because it is great value for money and very dependable for everyday use. These bikes do have some cosmetic damage on the frame, but all the important components have been replaced so it will ride like brand new. The Frog 53 Ex Hire is the perfect all-round kids’ bike if you aren’t looking to spend a lot — especially at our ex-hire prices.
The 20-inch hybrid Frog 53 is the ideal multi-purpose geared bike, suitable for 5 to 7-year-olds. Its lightweight aluminium frame weighs just 8.15kg, making it easy to manoeuvre on roads, pavements, towpaths and forest trails. It comes with Kenda Small Block Eight tyres for maximum stability and grip, full-length mudguards, and the option to attach a pannier rack for carrying school books or sports equipment.
The Frog 53 Ex Hire is equipped with age-specific components, including a quick-release child-specific saddle and FrogFit Technology® youth-specific 8-speed gear shifters with short lever travel, making gear changes easy for small hands. Tektro brakes with small, easy-to-reach levers give young riders better control and added confidence.
